It was my honor to have met Dr. Acton and his wife Evelyn on their recent visit to Alaska! Dr. Acton launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on July 29, 1985 and returned to earth 8 days later, having traveled 3,283,540 miles and completing 127 orbits and returning to earth at Mach 24 (15,000 MPH)! -GB Jones
