The Alaskan Gardens is an actual dwelling that is situated in southcentral Alaska amidst a heavily forested area near the shores of Cook Inlet.

The Alaskan Gardens provide a natural sanctuary for a wide range of migratory birds and animals. The gardens are enclosed within a tall wooden fenced-in area, which keeps the meandering moose from wandering in. On the fence are the engraved names of a few hundred people, many of whom have visited the gardens and many of whom have moved on. 

The gardens are located where the huge cottonwood trees grow, as well as the black spruce and birch trees. The gardens also contain a small patch of Siberian larch trees, lodgepole pines, mountain ash, and Colorado blue spruce trees. The gardens are known for their spectacular summer display of red elderberries, raspberries, and cranberries.    

The historic Iditarod Trail runs through the heart of the gardens, and it is home to the Iditarod Trail Kennel. For many years, this kennel actively engaged in fostering retired sled dogs to live in various homes as family pets.  The Iditarod Trail Kennel is no longer an active kennel. There are only three dogs that are permanent members of the Iditarod Trail Kennel, and they are Maggie, Eve, and Rudy. 

Each February and March, the Iditarod Trail Kennel receives trained sled dogs from local mushers, and we let folks come here and drive a great team of huskies! 

To realize our goal of offering everyone the chance to mush a team of Alaska huskies on the Iditarod Trail, the Iditarod Trail Kennel collaborates with numerous churches and neighborhood associations. 

A major reforesting project is ongoing at the Alaskan Gardens in Alaska and is now closed to the public, but remains open to the pollinating bees and migrating birds.

This website which represents those gardens in Alaska will remain open 24 hours per day.  

These gardens here in Alaska are on sacred ground.  

The cremated remains of many righteous people remain within these memorial gardens. Some are close friends. Several beloved dogs have also been laid to rest here, as well as various other pets.

The cabin that exists on the outer perimeter of these gardens has been the home to GB Jones and a couple of kids which he has been fostering for the past several years. 

Any promotions that you ever see on this website or anything you see for sale, it all goes to those kids. They deserve better.
